Customer FAQ
How do booking payments work?
For a standard paid offering, you pay Spark’s 35% share when booking online and pay the remaining 65% directly to your practitioner at the appointment or event. Any processing fee is shown separately at checkout. Check your confirmation for the actual amount paid and remaining balance.
What does Free or Donation-based mean?
Free offerings have no registration fee. Donation-based offerings register at $0, with donations welcome in person. No donation is collected online. A donation-based registration should have $0 paid and $0 balance due.
Where can I find my bookings?
Sign in to My Account using the email associated with your booking. Look under your bookings, events or classes. If you cannot find a registration, contact the Spark Team with your confirmation or order number.
What if I don’t receive a confirmation or reschedule email?
Check your spam folder and your account. Contact the Spark Team to confirm the date and time if the email is missing. Avoid submitting a second booking while the team checks the first one.
How do I change or cancel a booking?
Contact the Spark Team with your booking number and requested change. Ask the team to confirm how any payment will be handled, especially when switching practitioners. Cancellation and refund arrangements should be confirmed with the team for your offering.
What if I already paid but a balance is still showing?
Contact the Spark Team with your receipt and booking number before making another payment. The team can check the payment record and correct the amount due.
Provider, practitioner & team FAQ
Has Spark’s 35% already been taken out?
For a standard online booking where the deposit was paid, yes. The remaining 65% is paid directly to you. Do not deduct another 35% from the remaining balance.
| Payment | Amount |
|---|---|
| Spark’s share collected when booking | $35 |
| Remaining balance paid to the practitioner | $65 |
Does entering a manual registration mean the client paid?
No. Manager entry reserves the seat but does not collect a payment. An unpaid $44 registration should show $0 paid and $44 due; an unpaid $55 registration should show $0 paid and $55 due. Check the actual payment record before collecting any balance.
What if I collect the full payment myself?
If no online payment has been made and you collect the full price, Spark’s share still needs to be accounted for. For a standard $100 offering, you retain $65 and settle the $35 Spark share with the team. Check for prior payments first.
What if the client paid in full or the displayed balance is wrong?
Have a manager verify the payment history before collecting anything else. In the dashboard, a manager can open Event Registrations or Class Registrations, edit the registration, and use the Payment record section to enter the amount actually collected, then Update. The balance recalculates from that amount. Enter 0 when nothing was paid. Recording a correction does not charge or refund the client.
Where do I find attendees for events I lead?
Open the Staff section of your account and select Staff Events. My Events is for events you registered to attend as a customer. Use the corresponding staff class section for classes you lead.
What if I am missing a booking or reschedule email?
Check spam and your staff account, then contact the Spark Team. Include the booking number, offering and date, and say whether it was a new booking, reschedule or cancellation. The team can check both your profile email and the notification delivery record.
Why isn’t my availability visible?
Ask the Spark Team to check approval, dates, services and the linked practitioner profile. Avoid repeatedly adding the same availability while it is being checked.
How do I offer sessions By Appointment?
Send the Spark Team your services, prices, session lengths and preferred availability. You can participate without a regular recurring day. Appointments outside shop hours require coordination with the team.
How do I set up a class, event or series?
Send the team the description, practitioner names, dates, times, price, capacity and flyer. Group offerings use a class or event registration. For a series, identify the meeting weekdays and whether one registration covers the entire series.
How should free and donation-based offerings be entered?
In the WordPress dashboard, open Products, edit the offering, and go to Product data → General → Spark payment option. Choose Free or Donation-based — donate in person, then save. Both options register at $0 for customers and manager bookings. When adding a manager booking, choose that offering; its payment setting carries through automatically. Donation-based offerings say “Donations welcome in person.” A paid offering entered without payment is different: its full price remains due. When switching an offering back to Paid, enter its regular price before saving.
